Partners Coffee LIC - warm on a rainy day

A quick visit to New York, combined with some exploring in Long Island City. We visited: Partners Coffee.

The place is right between Queens Plaza and Court Square, and really only minutes of subway away from Manhattan.

It was a damp, rainy, cold day. And Partners Coffee with its warm and cozy setup immediately warmed us up.

We also got a spot right by the bar, and stayed for quite a while to see people come and go.

Preparation of pour-over was spotless. The Ethiopian beans received all the appropriate attention and care.

Filters and components were rinsed to clean and heat them. Scale and timer were in use and a full-focus barista made sure all was in order.

The result was a really exciting cup of coffee, with mild sourness, probably some notes of black currant around it.

We would definitely come back when in the area.
