It took multiple attempts of coming by until we got a seat, but we finally managed to check out a fusion of flowers and coffee: Cafe Saru in Itaewon.

The cafe is very nicely set up, it feels like a workshop. The coffee menu is tight:

Not only is the owner/barista chatty and friendly, but also do most female guests get flowers along with their coffee – way to go!

Preparation was fairly perfect. No fancy equipment, but enough to produce a great cup.

Filters and components were all rinsed, pours timed and carefully done. Only no scale for the water was used, but all in all as skillful as we could wish for.

The final product was an outstanding peach-rich cup of coffee. And the flowers remind us to come back soon (at least for a few days).
