Coffee Collective Copenhagen – fresh from the market

During a short visit to Copenhagen, Denmark, we had a chance to visit one of the local coffee heavy weights: Coffee Collective. We visited their stand in Torvehallerne – a market you have to check out when in town.

The market hall is an exciting destination in itself, full of fresh produce and a crazy amount of snack options.

Coffee Collective has a prime spot, right at one of the entrances, and was very busy when we visited.

Preparation was pretty much spotless. We chose a Geisha from Finca Esmeralda and it got the attention this bean (and its price) deserves. All components rinsed, scales and timers in action to ensure a precise pour. And despite a lot of traffic, there was no sign of hectic throughout the pour.

The result was a fairly light, barley and floral tasting cup of coffee. Even though I have still not been convinced of the true greatness of the much praised Geisha, it was very tasty.

And we would definitely come back here, a beautiful place!
